Every year American Express sponsors a FREE museum Sunday where all of the
museums in Montreal are admission free and a free bus service connecting the museums is provided as well. Three different routes connect all the museum sites and are identified by colored balloons. During our visit the nice weather brought out the museum goers en-masse and there were some long lines at the Archeological Museum, for example.
